Under the bright lights of Adelaide in April 2024, singer and Academy Award-winning actor Min Maw Khun took the stage at a fundraising concert—not just to perform, but to make a statement. Once a celebrated artist in Myanmar, he became a symbol of resistance when he stood with the Spring Revolution. His defiance came at a cost—his home was seized by the military, forcing him to flee into the depths of the jungle, navigating the perilous path to the Myanmar-Thailand border. Now, finding refuge in Australia with his family, he continues his fight, using his voice not only for music but for a cause far greater than himself.

Professor Sean Turnell, an Australian economist and former economic advisor to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, was imprisoned by the military on February 1, 2021, during the coup in Myanmar. After being detained for nearly two years, he was released from prison in November 2022. A respected expert in his field, he has served as an honorary professor of economics at Macquarie University, a former staff member of the Reserve Bank of Australia, and the director of research at the Myanmar Development Institute. This photo was taken during his Australia tour for the release of his book Unlikely Prisoner, which chronicles his harrowing experience in detention and his unwavering commitment to Myanmar's future.

With the support and fundraising efforts of celebrities and influencers, the Spring Revolution continues to surge forward like a powerful river. In this photo, renowned Burmese singer-songwriter David Lai takes the stage in Adelaide, Australia, during his tour. Through his performances, he not only inspired but also raised over 50,000 AUD to support Myanmar's struggle for freedom. A proud member of the Chin ethnic group, he hails from a state that has seen nearly complete liberation from the junta, standing as a symbol of resilience and hope for his people.
